Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Orakle LLC, 1317 Edgewater Dr, #2367 Orlando, Florida 32804, United States (“Orakle”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the DxTx website (the “Service”).

1. Calculator inputs — never collected

Every calculator on DxTx runs entirely within your browser. Patient parameters you enter, and the results calculated from them, are not transmitted to Orakle or to any third party by the Service, are not stored by us, and disappear when you leave or reset the page. Copying a result summary uses your device’s clipboard only.

2. Your Orakle account

Creating an account is optional; every calculator works without one. If you create an account, we hold:

• the details you enter: name, country, occupation, specialty, and email address;
• your DxTx email preference (whether you would like to hear from us about DxTx);
• whether you have confirmed your email address, when your account was created, and the dates you sign in.

One account, two sites. Your account is an Orakle account that also works on Expert’s Corner. If you already registered on Expert’s Corner, the same account signs you in here, and an account created on DxTx can be used there. Your email preferences for each site are kept separately: agreeing to DxTx emails does not sign you up to Expert’s Corner emails, and vice versa.

Signing in. There are no passwords. To sign in, we email you a link that works once and expires after 30 minutes. We store sign-in links and signed-in sessions only in scrambled (hashed) form, so they cannot be read back from our records.

We use account information to provide and secure your account, to send the account emails described in Section 6, and, if you agree, to send you occasional DxTx news. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on providing the service you have asked for (your account), your consent (email news, which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure.

3. Information kept on your device

The Service uses your browser’s local storage for: a copy of your signed-in profile and a reference to your sign-in session, so that pages can show that you are signed in; the calculators you mark as favorites, which are stored only on your device, are never sent to us, and do not follow you to other browsers or devices; and your cookie choice (Section 5). Logging out removes the profile copy and ends the session; clearing the site’s data in your browser settings removes everything stored on your device.

4. Service providers and hosting

We use carefully selected service providers to serve the website, host our account database, and deliver account emails. They process information only on our instructions and for those purposes, under agreements that require them to protect it, and we do not allow them to use it for their own purposes. Like virtually all web hosts, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical logs when pages are requested — such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security and operational purposes. Information sent between your browser and the Service is encrypted in transit.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used — which calculators are opened, how visitors arrive, and whether pages work as intended. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_…, lasting up to two years) only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice shown on your first visit. If you choose “Reject”, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set; the Google tag then sends only aggregate, cookieless signals that cannot recognize you or your device across visits.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, we do not link analytics data to your account, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage (orakle_consent) for 12 months, after which you will be asked again. You can change it at any time via Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page. Google describes its own handling of this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6. Email

Account emails. When you create an account or ask to sign in, we send you an email to confirm your address or to deliver your sign-in link. These are part of the account service and are sent whatever your email preference.

DxTx news. If you have opted in, we will send only relevant and infrequent messages, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in any such email.

Writing to us. If you contact us at support@orakleinc.com — including through a calculator’s feedback link — we receive your email address and message and use them to respond, improve the Service, and keep records of correspondence.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (Section 8). Sign-in links stop working after 30 minutes or once used, and sessions end when you log out. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and maintain our records.

8. Your rights

You may ask us for access to the information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it; you may also withdraw consent to DxTx emails or object to how we use your information, subject to applicable law (including, where it applies to you, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws). To make a request, contact us at the address below from the email address on your account. Because one account serves both DxTx and Expert’s Corner, deleting your account removes it from both. Favorites and other information kept only on your device can be removed by you at any time, as described in Section 3. We do not sell personal information.

9. International use

Orakle is based in the United States, and account information and correspondence are stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be indicated on this page.
